Coverage
What instruments are available, how to filter the catalog, and how historical depth works.
StrategyTune's catalog today spans forex, equity indices, metals & energy, crypto, and US stocks. The full searchable list — with each instrument's history range — lives at /securities, the source of truth for what's available; this page covers the classes and how depth works.
Asset classes
| Class | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Forex | On the order of ninety pairs — the deep end of the catalog. |
| Indices | Major index CFDs. |
| Metals & energy | Commodity CFDs. |
| Crypto | Major pairs. |
| US stocks | A small, recently added selection. |
The catalog grows over time.
Historical depth
Each instrument has its own start date and end date. There is no global "X years on every security" promise, but as a rule of thumb:
- Most classes — forex, indices, metals & energy, crypto — go back about six years.
- US stock data is recent; expect a much shorter window there.
- Individual instruments can differ from their class — newer tickers have shorter histories, and each data provider's archive starts at a different point.
On /securities, open an instrument's ⓘ details to see its Start Date and End Date — check the exact window before starting a backtest.
Picking a security from inside the app
The app's security selector is searchable, with asset-class filters, and the list is
grouped by ticker. Pre-filter the catalog with /securities?type=forex (or crypto, stock, cfd_index, cfd_commodity).
