Privacy policy

This policy describes what data StrategyTune ("we", "us") collects when you use strategytune.com and the StrategyTune application, and how we handle it. Questions: support@strategytune.com.

What we collect

• Account data. When you sign up, our authentication provider processes your email address and basic profile details (such as your name) and gives us a user identifier. Using the app without an account is possible; then no account data exists.
• Your content. Things you create in the app: scripts (indicators, filters, signals, strategies), backtesting sessions and their results, settings, and feedback you send. This content is private to your account, unless you choose to share content publicly (public indicators are visible to others).
• Billing data. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details; we store your subscription status and invoice-related records.
• Usage data. Product analytics about how features are used (for example, that a backtest was launched and how long it computed) and technical logs needed to run and secure the service. We use analytics — our own collection plus standard web analytics services — to improve the product, not for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

Connected AI assistants

You can connect your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible client) to your account. The connection uses an authorization you grant explicitly and can revoke at any time. Your assistant then acts on your account through the same operations the app itself offers — reading and editing your scripts, launching backtests, controlling your open charts. We do not send your data to any AI provider ourselves: the connection is initiated and operated by your own assistant, under your direction, and the conversation between you and your assistant belongs to that assistant's provider, not to us.

Where data lives

We use established infrastructure providers to host the application, databases, and compute (including providers in the EU), an authentication provider for sign-in, and a payment provider for billing. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.

Retention

• Account data and your content are kept while your account exists.
• Deleted scripts disappear from the app immediately and can be restored for a limited time before removal.
• Temporary computation results you chose not to save are not retained long-term.
• Technical logs and analytics are retained only as long as operationally useful.

Your choices

• You can use the core of the product (market replay) without an account at all.
• You can delete your account yourself at any time — in the app, open the user menu → Manage account → Security → Delete account. For a data export, email support@strategytune.com.
• You can revoke a connected AI assistant's access at any time in the app settings.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage for signing you in and remembering your app preferences. We don't run advertising; our analytics tools may set their own identifiers.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
