Terms of service

These terms govern your use of strategytune.com and the StrategyTune application ("the service"). By using the service you agree to them. Questions: support@strategytune.com.

What StrategyTune is — and is not

StrategyTune is an analytical and educational tool: it replays historical market data, simulates trading against it, and runs user-written strategy code over it. It is not a broker, not a trading venue, and nothing in the service is investment advice. All trading in the service is simulated. Results of simulations and backtests are hypothetical, depend on recorded historical data, and are not a prediction or guarantee of future results. Decisions you make in real markets are yours alone.

Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account, including activity performed by AI assistants you connect to it. Connected assistants act with the permissions you grant and under your direction; review what they do, and revoke access you no longer want.

Your content

Scripts, sessions, and other content you create remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and execute that content in order to provide the service (for example, compiling and running your strategy code on our infrastructure). We don't publish your private content.

Acceptable use

• No attempts to break isolation of the code-execution environment or access data that isn't yours.
• No abusive load: automated use must stay within the service's published limits and quotas.
• No redistribution or resale of market data obtained through the service.
• No unlawful use.

Plans and billing

Free and paid plans differ in compute limits as described in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are billed by our payment provider and renew until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Limits and features of plans may evolve; material reductions to a paid plan will be communicated in advance.

Market data

Historical market data is provided as-is, for use within the service. We work to keep it accurate and complete, but we do not warrant that it is free of gaps or errors, and it must not be relied on as a sole basis for real-market decisions.

Availability and changes

We may change, add, or remove features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the service and request deletion of your data at any time.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
